| By PATRICK HEALY Jude Law and Eddie Redmayne Will Help Michael Grandage Bow Out at DonmarFor Michael Grandage’s final season as artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse, one of London’s premier theater companies, Jude Law (“Hamlet”) will play Mat Burke and London theater actress Ruth Wilson will play the title character in Eugene O’Neill’s classic “Anna Christie,” the theater announced on Thursday night. The production, directed by Rob Ashford, is set to run Aug. 4-Oct. 9. Douglas Hodge (a Tony Award winner last year for “La Cage aux Folles”) will then play the center character Bill Maitland in John Osborne’s drama “Inadmissible Evidence,” to be directed by Jamie Lloyd; the play will run Oct. 13-Nov. 26. And for his final production to direct before stepping down, Mr. Grandage has chosen Shakespeare’s “Richard II,” with 29-year-old Eddie Redmayne (last season’s “Red” on Broadway) in the title role. The character has been played by actors of all ages, including Sir John Gielgud, who gave a breakthrough performance as Richard II in his mid-20s at the Old Vic Theater in London. Mr. Grandage, who won the Tony for best direction of a play last year for “Red,” has led the Donmar since 2002. He plans to focus on directing after passing his duties to an as-yet-unnamed successor. thanks to iloveeddieredmayne INFOCASTAltro che Thrilled io sono già lì con la capa!!!!!
